Dr. Eric Ikeda, OD

Dr. Eric T. Ikeda is in private practice and owner of Optometric Vision Care Associates, Inc. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry and is a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. He served as president of NORA and was recently presented with the “Founding Fathers Medal” for his continued service to NORA. He had been inducted as a Distinguished Practitioner into the National Academies of Practice (Optometry Academy), recipient of the Founder’s Award by Western University of Health Sciences, College of Optometry, and was recognized as “Physician of the Year” by the Rehabilitation Nurses Society.

He had launched the Neuro Optometry Clinic at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and then later, began the Neuro Optometry Clinic at Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation. He serves as a neuro visual rehabilitation consultant for Winways Transitional Living Center in Orange, Care Meridian (Artesia, La Habra Heights, Garden Grove, and Cowan Heights), and Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital, San Pedro.

Dr. Ikeda was elected as President of the Optometric Extension Program Foundation. He also continues to serve as Clinical Associate Professor of the Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry. He was appointed to the American Optometric Association Vision Rehabilitation Committee and to the TBI Task Force. His community work includes serving on the Bellflower Somerset Mutual Water Company board and Cerritos College Foundation board. He enjoys time with family and friends on fresh water and salt water fishing trips and golfing.
